While we are not located on the beachside of the island, Longboat Key's world famous beaches are just a short walk from your door. This is a romantic place where the sunrise spreads across the bay like it was painted by Monet and the relaxed Florida lifestyle can be enjoyed away from the hustle of the crowd. Our units are all privately owned and decorated. All units offer stunning views of Sarasota Bay from both the living area and the master bedroom.

We stayed at Silver Sands with several other families as we were in a baseball tournament in Sarasota. The facility was extremely clean and well maintained. Our room was 236 which was a bit smaller than others that were closer to the beach and pool but was quite a bit less expensive (definitely worth the tradeoff for us). It was immaculate when we arrived. It was well equipped (dishes, utensils, etc). The screened porch is a wonderful addition - with a table, chairs and rack for wet suits and towels. The office staff was absolutely wonderful - really kind and helpful. We got an umbrella from the office to use on the beach (no extra charge) and there were plenty of chairs on the beach for us to use. We had free wi-fi in the room which was great as well. The location on Longboat Key was terrific as well with plenty to do and see close by. St. Armands Circle was only about 10-15 minds away.

I loved this place. My parents go twice a year, and I downplayed their rave reviews. I went the first week of this month to celebrate their anniversary with them and I think they understated the place. It was fabulous. I'm not used to that level of hospitality, but then I hadn't been to Florida before. We had noisy neighbors, and after the second day I approached the office about it. Lisa (I think? .. strawberry blonde hair) was extremely tactful. She used humor in getting the guests to see they were disruptive, and the problem was solved.
