My favorite thing about this hotel was its location. Perfect distance to south beach for my taste. We stayed in the new ocean tower and had a beautiful view of the pools and beach. There is a boardwalk which takes you all the way to south beach (ocean drive at around 16 street), it was about a 15 minute walk. Too bad we discovered this on our last day because it would have saved a few cab rides to south beach in the evenings. The rooms were beautiful, modern with white colors (which is something I love for beach vacations) and spotless. The TV was large flat screen with an amazing picture. The room had an ipod dock which is always a plus. Room also included a safe, coffee and tea, robes. The room did not have a minibar, which I can’t say I mind at all because I never use it. I can’t complain that the room didn’t have a refrigerator because most hotels/resorts which don’t offer kitchenettes won’t have one unless it’s a mini bar. There was an ice machine not to far from our room so it didn’t matter much anyway. The bathrooms were nice and spacious, there was a sliding stained glass window over the hot tub you can open and see the ocean. That’s a nice touch for couples on a romantic get away. However the glass is stained and you cannot see through it, for those that may require privacy.
