Stayed here for the last 4 nights of our 16 nights in Florida, hoping for a well earned rest. We weren't disappointed. What a fabulous location ovelooking the Gulf and the white sands of Long Boat Key. From the outside the buildings look old and dated but once inside the rooms, are light and airy and very modern. We had requested a Club View Suite and overlooked the Gulf and the pool. The king size bed was very comfortable - the teenagers didn't think the sofa bed was that comfy but it didn't stop them sleeping in it!! The room was cleaned daily and for once there were enough towels for all of us! The kitchenette was well equipped and even had a dishwasher and washing machine. The pool is very small and not really big enough for the size of the complex. The beach is well equipped with sun beds, umbrellas and kabanas. The lads on the beach are happy to set up the equipment for you. I would comment that they work very hard and many of the other holiday makers there treated them like servants - it isn't too much trouble to move your own towel and cup from the beach when you leave!! At the end of the day they collect all the umbrellas, sun loungers (and towels/cups) up before they leave.

We have been going to Sany Cay for many years. In the past couple years, the Condominium Complex has been going under deep renovations. As a family we continued to vacation at Sand Cay through the renovations because of it's familiarity to our small children, and it's beautiful beaches. The renovations are complete, and I have to say well worth it! Sand Cay looks more beautiful than ever. The units we have stayed in for the past few Summers have all been updated, and are extremely family friendly. As a family this Summer, we booked 3 ground floor, gulf front units to accomodate a total of 5 adults and 9 children under the age of 12.. All of the units were extremely well kept, clean, and the gulf views were spectacular. The grounds were beautiful, and the staff is always extremely helpful. The swimming pool is very large and always inviting.

We stayed here for our honeymoon in 1993 and again in 2002 with our two children. We loved the quietness of the resort and the beach. Both times we've been, in the month of June, there was never a crowd problem. Sometimes we were the only people visible on the beach. This is the best beach I've ever seen. And this resort is an inexpensive little jewel right in the middle.

My family went to Longboat Key for a mini stay. We normally would have used our timeshare located there but decided to allow other family members to stay in it and we found somewhere else tostay. We choose the Turtle crawl inn because it was small and looked like a family place. It was definately that. Our room was a one bedroom condo on the ground level. Room 104/...the living room opened up to the patio which was located directly by the shuffle board and putting green. That was perfect for us..because my husband is a golfer and my oldest lil gilr loves to putt (she's 2). Anyway the beach was not far away which was perfect for us. The pool was small(only allow 9 people at a time)....but we didn't go to play in the pool...we go to visit the beach...so for us it didn't matter..the room itself was dated but was clean and well kept..we didn't need anything other than food and clothing...I would stay again. However this may not be the place to stay if you are looking for a HIgh Class romantic get away...very laid back, cozy place..we loved it.
