It was the kind of cheap entertainment during a recent weekend family trip to the beach communities on north of Fort Lauderdale and south of Boca Raton along the Gold Coast of South Florida. These oceanside towns -1.Deerfield Beach,2.Hillsboro Beach,3.Pompano Beach and 4.Lauderdale-by-the-Sea - are hardly qualify as destinations unto themselves. They are best suited to families or retirees who like the lost-in-time way of life they represent.
People don't go to make the scene - On a wide beach you go to frolic, to eat at an unassuming grill along the water and spend the part of an afternoon lounging in one of those just-bigger-than-a-bathtub hotel pools so soon let your family to the area.
