The natural, white sand beach for 2.5 mile (4 km) was named has the best in the continental United States with fame for swimming. The natural trail near the park Oceanside beach skirts, tidal lagoon passes through the coastal hammock. Here, in the beach bicycling and inline skating can be done on the park 3.5 miles paved road. Even several fishing and picnicking spots are available in the area.

As part of the great Florida birding trail, the park is also considered. In the park, kayaks and snorkeling gear can be rented. Even boat slips are available in the park to enjoy the day in marina for overnight rental. Vacation cabins, boat trips for snorkeling on reef, primitive and full hookup campsites are available.
